Diabetes is also known as Blood Sugar (glucose).  It is a long-lasting condition that influences how our body turns food into energy. Most of the food we eat is broken down into sugar and released into our bloodstream.

     


 

  1. ·        Frequent Urination.
  2. ·        Excessive Thirst.
  3. ·        Unexplained Weight Loss.
  4. ·        Extreme Hunger.
  5. ·        Sudden Vision changes.
  6. ·        Tingling or numbness in the hands or feet.
  7. ·        Feeling very tired much of the time.
  8. ·        Very dry skin.


 


Causes Of Diabetes

Obesity and Inactive lifestyle” are two common factors of Diabetes. These are responsible for about 90% to 95%.

Except for these factors Hypertension, Continuously high use of Sugar(glucose) are also causes of Diabetes.

 

              



Types of diabetes

Type 1 Diabetes:

It is caused by an autoimmune reaction that stops the body from making insulin. About 5% to 10% are victims of this type. This type is quickly developed. It’s normally diagnosed in children, adults. To survive this type, it is necessary to take insulin.

Type 2 Diabetes:

In this type, insulin can’t keep blood sugar at a normal level. Approximately 90% to 95% are affected by this type. It develops over many years & is usually diagnosed in adults. Type 2 diabetes can be prevented with healthy lifestyle changes such as losing weight, eating healthy food, & being active.

  Gestational Diabetes:

  It is mostly found in pregnant women who never had diabetes. If there is gestational diabetes in pregnant women, there could be a higher risk for the baby. It finished after baby delivery.

Cure of Diabetes


There isn’t a cure yet for diabetes, but

·        Losing weight

·        Eating healthy food

·        Being active

Can really help.

In some cases, insulin is not enough to cure Diabetes.
